Kevin Love could join Kevin Durant and Phoenix Suns after completing acquisition with Cleveland Cavaliers
After numerous reports of Kevin Love and the Cleveland Cavaliers making acquisitions, the Phoenix Suns have emerged as a possible landing spot for the veteran star. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst has reported that the Suns are likely to sign the shooting giants once his acquisition is complete.
“One group in the Western Conference that I’ll be keeping an eye on, the Phoenix Suns. The Suns have been doing some background research on Kevin over the last 24 hours. And don’t forget, James Jones, team president, is a teammate. with [Kevin] Love when they won the 2016 championship with the Cavs.”

Kevin Love could be the final piece to push the Suns title
Earlier this week, it was reported that the Suns had signed Terrence Ross after he was acquired by the Orlando Magic. Now, with subsequent rumors that the team could win the All-Star Championship five times, they will increase their chances of winning the Larry O’Brien trophy.
Love Having enough playing experience and winning the championship can be key for the team.
The potential addition of Kevin Love by the Suns adds more depth to their bench
After trading Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, and Jae Crowder for the Brooklyn Nets at the deadline, the depth of the Sun took a hit. All three players were crucial to their success last season, even with Crowder sidelined this season.
Luckily for the Suns, they were able to bring in TJ Warren and he is now reunited with Devin Booker. However, that is not enough. That’s why they went after Ross after his acquisition deal was final. They are currently investing heavily to become the rumored destination for Love.
The previous fifth overall pick was an experienced big man and one with the ability to stretch the floor. When healthy, Love can be a huge help in the attack. His underrated passes have helped score points for the likes of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving in the past.
He’s not a washed player, yet. Just last season, he ended his 2021-22 campaign as a finalist for Sixth Man of the Year. Off the bench, Love can create shots from the post and from the box, making him a deadly offensive weapon.
