Kia Sorento 2023 has more standard safety features
Kia Sorento 2023 (especially non-hybrid versions) has very modest changes this year. It’s not even to brag about about having a new badge. But Kia has given the three-row SUV a number of feature updates, the most welcome of which is the addition of more standard safety equipment on even the base model.
The base LX version now comes with blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert. It also adds Safe Exit Assist, which warns of approaching traffic when the door is opened. Other decorators receive incremental feature updates. S receive a wireless phone charger; EX has eight-way power passenger seat and frameless rearview mirror; The SX has a 12.3-inch instrument display, power-folding mirrors and sensor-sensing wipers; and the SX Prestige are currently only available with all-wheel drive, plus it features a 115-volt power outlet, retractable rear door sills, and a Homelink.
Sorento base price just increased by $ . total440 to $31,285. All-wheel drive is a $1,800 option. On some versions, that requires the addition of the X-Line package that adds sturdier body parts and other equipment, which makes all-wheel drive more expensive. Base prices for each part, plus prices for X-Line models, are listed below.
- LX: $31,285
- S: $33,785
- X-Line S (AWD): $35,785
- EXAMPLE: $37.185
- X-Line EX (AWD): $40,885
