Kourtney Kardashian’s Balmain Renaissance Dress

Forget what you know about nude costume, because Kourtney Kardashian just raised the stakes. In an Instagram collection posted on January 26, the Poosh founder took the revealing trend to the next level, showing off her nude print dress. styled by dani MichelleBalmain’s high-neck style featured Renaissance nudes of a woman running from collar to hem, mirroring the curves of Kardashian’s own body.

Kardashian posed to demonstrate an optical illusion before showing her followers a look at the back of her dress. From behind, the outfit fades to sky blue, trading its strange naked body for a cluster of winged angels. “If you want to make a call, please hang up and try again,” Kardashian wrote in her caption.

Former Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing spoke to Vogue magazine around spring collection 2023 from which Kardashian’s dress originates, underscoring his focus on sustainability. “We’ve all seen climate change this summer. We’ve all seen fires around the world. And back with a show in September, think about your pants. whether we’re going to be high-waist or low-waist — that seems a bit pointless to me,” he explained. So, Kardashian’s “naked” dress can be seen as an escape, reminiscent of an era characterized by pure innovation, discovery and artistry.

As far as kardashian style come on, this is not a big departure. In fact, just four days earlier, her husband, Travis Barker, shared a photo about her wearing a miniskirt in a similar style, just with different artwork and a more loose fit.
