Kilmarnock is consulting with the Football Association of Scotland about their investigation into Kyle Lafferty’s alleged use of sectarian language.

Killie boss Derek McInnes said: “As the club has previously stated, we are conducting our own investigation into this matter and in consultation with the SFA we are working to resolve the matter. as fast as possible.

It looks like Lafferty will not feature for Saturday’s game against Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership while the investigation continues.

Baraclough: Still Lafferty’s Way Back
