Kyrie Irving to Nets for Spencer Dinwiddie, added: Charania
Kyrie Irving got her wish, and the Dallas Mavericks turned out to be a much better offensive basketball team. The Athletic’s Shams Charania is reporting that the Brooklyn Nets are trading Irving with the Mavericks for Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, a first pick, and some second picks.
The deal comes two days after Charania reported that Irving transaction request from the Nets after failing to reach an agreement on a contract extension. After some trouble early in the season, and the opposition of Irvinghalftic commented, the Nets appear to have returned to the East Conference dispute path.
However, Kevin Durant’s recent injury has made the team fall from monday location. If Irving wants another max contract, he better be on his best behavior in Dallas. And if Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is counting on it, I hope he has the world’s most expensive stress balls in his office.
