Lamborghini celebrates the 20,000th Huracán produced

It’s been eight years since Lamborghini begins production of its powered V10 Huracán sports car and now it’s celebrating its 20,000th production line.

The Huracán STO – or Super Trofeo Omologata – known as the pinnacle of laning range and powered by 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V10 manufacturing 470kW power and 565Nm of torque.

Lamborghini claims the Huracán STO can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 310km/h.

It should be noted that the drive is also sent only to the rear wheel.

During the sale to date, Lamborghini has offered 12 road versions and 3 different racing versions of the Huracán.

Since 2014, 71% of customers have opted for the coupe variants of the Huracán, with the remaining 29% choosing the convertible versions.

Over 60% of the Huracans delivered have also been customized using Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program, which expands interior trim and exterior paint options.

The US is by far the top market for Huracán sales, where more than 32% of all Huracans have been delivered in the past eight years.

2021 is also a sales record for Huracán with a total of 2586 units sold globally.

Against this backdrop, Lamborghini sold a total of 194 coupes and convertibles in 2021 in Australia. This number is not only Huracán sales, but also includes the V12 . engine Aventador.

The latest Huracán variant revealed as Tecnicabridge the gap between Evo RWD and STO.

Designed to serve dual duty as a road and race car, the Tecnica is fitted with unique front and rear bumpers that make it 61mm longer than the Evo.

It is powered by the same naturally aspirated 5.2 liter V10 engine as the STO, producing 470kW and 565Nm, with the powertrain sent only to the rear wheels.

According to Lamborghini, the Tecnica is capable of completing 0-100km/h in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 325hm/h.

This is 0.2 seconds to 100km/h slower than the STO, but it has a higher top speed.

Looking to the future, Lamborghini has previously revealed their plans unveils its first all-electric car in the second half of the decade.

Previously, there was a rumor that The first all-electric Lamborghini could be a big 2+2 modelsimilar to the Estoque concept from 2008.

This electrification roadmap starts with low volume Sián Which combines a 6.5 liter V12 engine and an electric motor integrated in the transmission for a total capacity of 602kW.

Whereas most other off-road hybrid systems have either a nickel-metal hydride or lithium-ion battery pack, Sián used a smaller, more energy-dense supercapacitor setup.

Lamborghini claims the Sián is capable of completing 0-100km/h in 2.8 seconds, or 2.9 seconds in the Roadster variant.
