Lamborghini Invencible and Autentica are its last NA V12 cars

A few months ago, we wrote that the last production unit of Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae represents the end of the naturally aspirated V12 dynasty in Sant’Agata Bolognese, and finally Aventador Ultimae means the end of the NA V12 Aventador. Looks like we were wrong. lamborghini now tell us twice this is the proper and (possibly) final end of NA V12. Created for a customer who has worked with the Lamborghini Centro Stile since its inception, the duo is the Invencible (Spanish spelling of “Invincible”) coupe and Auténtica road riders.

They are more than just goodbyes, they are also the most successful compilations that arguably incorporate design traits from Reventon since 2008, the The element Sesto since 2010, the Veneno from 2013, and 830 hp Essenza SCV12 race-only coupe from 2020. Lamborghini didn’t mention FKP 37but the headlights are the same and the side vents are a mix of Sián and Sesto Elemento.

Both are based on the Aventador’s carbon fiber barrel, and both have a 6.5-liter V12 that makes 769 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque.

Invencible wear carbon fiber plates in Rosso Efesto, which is Hephaestus Red, Hephaestus is the Greek god of things like fire and volcanoes. The paint color is accented with sparkling carbon-like details with red flakes, brake calipers with Rosso Mars and pure carbon. The three hexagonal colors on the doors match many other hexagonal elements such as the daytime running lights, three-section taillights and the exhaust. A neat, angular swan-neck hangs over the rear fender, its pillars anchored beside the backlight.

Inside is a combination of Rosso Alala, Nero Cosmus Alcantara leather and contrasting Rosso Alala and Nero Ade stitching. Rosso Efesto is used on the steering wheel and gearshift paddles. Designers removed the Aventador’s infotainment screen, moved all indicators to a digital gauge display, and left the dual hexagonal vents that dominate the open space on a recess decorated in red.

The Auténtica roadster is painted in Grigio Titans with Giallo Auge (Golden Peak) and Matte Black details. Instead of the Invencible’s rear spoiler, a pair of fins are highlighted by the yellow air intake above the rear spoiler. Inside, passengers sit on Nero Ade leather and Giallo Taurus stitching, and can see Two-tone Nero Cosmus and Grigio Octans Alcantara.

This is actually it for V12. We think. The next motive out of the Sant’Agata gate will be Aventador’s V12 hybrid successorwhich Lamborghini says will be available in just a few weeks.
