Lance Reddick joins cast of ‘Ballerina’ spinoff of ‘John Wick’ – The Hollywood Reporter

Lance Reddick has signed on to play the lead role ballerinanew movie set John Wick The universe.

Reddick will reprise the role of Charon, a concierge at the Continental, a fan-favorite hotel for assassins with its own set of rules and dire consequences for breaking them. Production on the film, which is headed by Ana de Armas and directed by Len Wiseman, is underway.

Shay Hatten wrote the script and the plot involved a young woman (de Armas) with murderous skills who used the aforementioned skills to take revenge when her family was killed by murderers. Angelica Huston and Ian McShane also join Reddick as John Wick veterans back on the board call for Ballet actress.

Producer credits are shared by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Chad Stahelski. Brady Fujikawa and Chelsea Kujawa are overseeing the project for Lionsgate.

“Charon is an integral part of the world of Heart. It’s great to know that Lance will continue to make his mark on this series,” Lee said in a statement. Reddick recently appeared in the seventh and final season of Bosch and in Netflix Evil inhabitant series.

He also voiced a Netflix animated series Farzar. Reddick’s upcoming roles include the biopic Shirley Chisholm Shirley, starring opposite Regina King and for writer-director John Ridley, and White Men Can’t Jump.

He is represented by CAA and Grandview.
