of China LDV is continuing to launch new vehicles in the domestic market at a fast pace, the latest being a mid-size passenger car with some funky design touches and two-tone colors.
The Maxus V70 – the company called LDV in Australia uses the Maxus brand in other places – looks quite like a Custom Ford Transit from the side, but has an interesting front grille and fun two-tone use like one Volkswagen Multivan.
We also understand that the importer of LDV Australia is aware of the V70 and is reviewing the vehicle, although they themselves have not commented on any plans one way or another.
Official details are rather scarce on Chinese car and social media sites like Weibo, although we do know the launch V70s have multiple rows of seats. However, we imagine a two-seater van being produced for sale next door LDV G10 or perhaps to replace it.
Although SAIC Motor’s homepage (SAIC Motor is the parent company of Maxus/LDV) provides almost no data, reputable sources in China say the V70 will launch with a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine. capacity of 93 kW and 9-speed automatic transmission, with fuel consumption of 7.4 liters / 100km.
It also sits on a new architecture, SAIC added.
An electric version of the EV70 looks to be a form, given the company makes a range of electric horse and passenger cars – including for the Australian market. electronic 9 and MIFA 9.
It’s been a great year for LDV Australia, launching the aforementioned eDeliver 9 and MIFA 9, as well as eT60 electric ute. In addition, the company has launched update diesel engine T60 Maxand run on gasoline MIFA mover.
It has sold 14,813 vehicles in Australia this year, led by the T60. It also posted great growth from D90 Large SUV, the diesel engine Supply 9 is Australia’s best-selling large truck and the smaller G10 is third Toyota HiAce and Download Hyundai Staria in its segment sales race.
