Lenexa, Kansas Police Helped Late Thursday Night
Lenexa police officers helped a child in a car late Thursday night. Officers arrived on the scene and took action. An employee delivers a baby in the passenger seat of a car. The police department said that on Labor Day, one of its officers, who was off work, went to the hospital with his wife when she began labor. Before they could get inside, the officer assigned his step-son in the back seat of their car.

Authorities said a couple was on their way to the hospital when they pulled over on 95th Street east of Interstate 35 because the mother was about to go into labor.
Police said three officers arrived at the scene and took action. An employee supports a baby in the passenger seat of a car.
Authorities said the mother, baby and father were all fine.
