Virat kohli has been one of the most consistent players across formats for over a decade. However, his recent slump in form has become a hot topic of debate with a number of current and former cricketers voicing their views on recent struggles. This is Kohli’s. With the T20 World Cup scheduled to be held later this year, many questions have been raised about his place in the Indian team. However, the Zimbabwean polisher Sikandar Raza supported Kohli amid criticism.
“As much as cricket is all about fitness and xyz, the way he’s brought that part forward for the younger generations to follow, I think that’s commendable and people should give him enough credit for it. I feel he’s the ultimate of all- player format and that has nothing to do with stats, what he’s achieved, what he’s going through and what he’s going through. what he’s going to achieve; I’m just speaking in general,” Raza told Anis Sajan on his YouTube channel.
The Pakistan-born cricketer also urged the ticketing board not to comment on the 33-year-old hitter’s form.
“I don’t think I’m knowledgeable or experienced enough to give advice to a guy who has made over 20,000 journeys in his career. What do I tell him? I can’t tell him anything. . If something goes wrong, I can shut up and also calculate everyone” to do the same and let the guy live in peace. Just leave him alone and hope he finds his feet soon,” he added.
