Lethbridge workers protest Extendicare benefit cuts – Lethbridge


Round 40 members of the Alberta Union of Provincial Workers picketed exterior Extendicare Fairmont Park in Lethbridge on Wednesday, protesting cuts and demanding higher situations for workers and residents.

AUPE says Extendicare is pushing to cut back well being and dental advantages, together with cuts to retirement plans and a 15 per cent lower in sick time.

Union vice-president Karen Weiers calls it “unacceptable” given the present situations.
