Lil Uzi Vert Responds to Backlash Around Satanic Lyrics
In light of some of the backlash surrounding his Rolling Loud performance, Lil Uzi Vert is taking time to clarify the situation.
Specifically, after he became famous for rapping that he could “make a city girl believe in Satan”, Uzi is talking about how the lyrics “don’t really” talk about the Devil.
Lil Uzi Vert Says JT ‘Don’t Think Too Much About’ References
TMZ recently caught up with the rapper while he was hanging out in Beverly Hills, and — after revealing that the song in question would be on his upcoming album — he’s settled the controversy.
Uzi is quick to explain that the lyrics are “not really [about] Satan.” Instead, he says it’s really focused on showing how he can “make a girl do anything” he says.
When asked what JT thought of the lyrics in question, Uzi replied that she “really doesn’t think too much about it”. He also added that JT was aware of the reference and was present when he made the song.
Uzi Says Haters ‘Just Relax’
As the conversation continued, Lil Uzi Vert talked about how he wasn’t worried about any backlash that might come his way, as his lyricism was his way of expressing “freedom.” his speech”.
“I really don’t even notice them even saying that. I just say whatever I want in my songs—it’s like my freedom of speech.”
He pointed out that he grew up in a “really religious family” and just said whatever he wanted to say as an adult.
Uzi also notes that, while he doesn’t mean to offend his music, listeners always “have the option to turn it off”.
“Maybe they just need to relax a bit.”
Finally, we must add that—when asked if he “believes[s] in Satan”—Uzi simply replied “no” before smiling sheepishly.

Summer Walker & Other Before Bashed Lil Uzi’s Satan lyrics: ‘There’s nothing funny or cute about it’
When it comes to this topic, we should note that Summer Walker expressed her disapproval of the sentence mentioned on social media last week.
After quoting the rapper’s lyrics, Summer shared that she’s “really curious” about whether he’s “ever seen or heard of a demon before.” She then openly wondered if it was a sign of a trend and declared, “I feel like if you had you’d stop playing.”
The singer added, “There’s really nothing funny or cute about it. May God be with you.”

So it looks like Summer isn’t a fan of Lil Uzi shouting at Satan, and she’s not alone! Check out what some of the other detractors have to say below.

Smh seeing Carti and Uzi turning into devil worshipers and now glorifying Satan in their music… I would never agree with that even as a first day fan https:// t.co/eBsCnXbncc
