Liv Morgan commented on what she wants to achieve as the reigning WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Liv landed the coveted title at Money in the Bank a few months ago after cashing in on her contract with Ronda Rousey. She defeated The Baddest Women on the Planet in a rematch at SummerSlam to retain the gold. The two stars are set to collide again on WWE’s Extreme Rules this Saturday night in the Extreme Rule Match.
Talk to Rick Ucchino about Cageside side chairLiv Morgan revealed that the kind of champion she wants to be is the kind of champion that elevates the division and everyone they work with in the ring.
“Once I settled in as champion, it became very clear and natural to me what those responsibilities were and how I wanted to be a champion. I don’t want to be a champion but feel entitled and feel like I have to look better than everyone else all the time. It’s like, no, I want to be a real champion and raise the bar. It raised to the dressing room. Morgan said.
Liv Morgan says she’s grateful to be the current SmackDown Women’s Champion
At Money in the Bank, Morgan made her WWE dream come true after she pinned Ronda Rousey to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
She added that she was grateful to be the champion, and it took a while for it to sink in.
“I feel like over the last few weeks, last month or so, things have really settled down. And it’s not like, yeah, thank you, I’m so grateful to be the champion. Feels like I’m a SmackDown Women’s Champion. I’m the right SmackDown Women’s Champion and I’m probably the best woman for the job right now,” she said.
Liv Morgan is the first person in history to score two glorious victories over Ronda Rousey. However, Extreme Rules would be a different scenario, as weapons would be legal, the main factor in the match.
