This year attendees will enjoy a theme-focused night In America: An Anthology on Fashion. For the dress code, fashion stylists and designers are tasked with creating glamorous gilded looks. If you need a break, think white ties or flashy and glamorous old-school outfits. We’re talking black coats, bow ties, floor-length capes and even long gloves.

Here are a few celebrity stories that stood out on tonight’s red carpet:

Gabrielle Union & Dwayne Wade

The Wades sought a regal look in their Met Gala selections! Gabby wore a curvaceous, silver, glittery dress decorated with a large red flower around her waist and a flock of white feathers. Dwayne has her abs peeking through a white unbuttoned jacket paired with white trousers. He fights conformity with a stick.

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson

Kim Kardashian isn’t afraid to step out with her man Pete Davidson! The star couple hit the Met Gala carpet with a classic look. Kim wore Marilyn Monroe’s famous birthday dress. We’re talking shiny, golden skin with jewels covering the entire sleeveless gown. Meanwhile, Pete paired a black tie with some dark sunglasses.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker

Kourt and Travis stand out on the carpet in black and white tones. Travis opted for a matching look, which included a long coattail and fitted jacket. Meanwhile, Kourtney wears a long-sleeve white shirt paired with a long black dress with a bandage covering her stomach area!

Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds

There’s one thing about Blake, she doesn’t play with red carpet workouts! She came out in a strapless dress adorned with silver, gold, and bronze and a giant bronze bow and a train. She stands out with copper colored gloves. Later on in her red carpet walk, Blake’s team opened the large bow to reveal another part of the dress, switching it from bronze to navy! Ryan opted for a clean tailored suit paired with a white bow, silver chain, and white pinned flower.
