LMPD officer rescues puppy at crash scene locked inside backpack
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Three small puppies were rescued by a Louisville Metro Police officer after finding them near the site of the accident.
According to LMPD’s Facebook page, an officer was responding to a car crash on November 19 when he heard noises coming from a nearby backpack.
The employee went over and took out three small dogs that were locked inside the bag. Police said the officer was unable to locate the mother of the tiny baby mice.
In the post, the LMPD said the driver of this vehicle had a wanted warrant for a felony and drug possession.
Staff who found the puppies were able to contact a local veterinary clinic, which volunteered to bottle feed them.
A photo was taken of a police officer holding three small puppies in his arms. Officers named the pups Ali, Larkwood and Madison, after the street they were found on.
