London, Ont. police probe discovery of body in field in city’s south end – London


An investigation was launched after London, Ont., police said a body detected in an open field on Friday near Parkwood Hospital at the south end of the city.

Few details have been released, but police said they responded to the area of ​​Wellington Road and East Commissioners Road around 8:30 a.m. after receiving a call from a member of the public. .

Police said officers found one person at the scene, who was pronounced dead. No identifying information has been released about the individual.

“The investigation is in its early stages and has been turned over to members of the Main Crimes Unit (London police),” police said in a statement. “We are asking members of the public to avoid the area while police remain at the scene.”
