Los Angeles Rams, Cincinnati Bengals will face off against Super Bowl 2022 – The Hollywood Reporter

The Los Angeles Rams will face the Cincinnati Bengals at Super Bowl 2022 next month.

The Rams beat the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 to win the NFC championship on Sunday night.

In the match that aired on Fox, Travin Howard made a 1:09 interception to play, and the Rams rebounded from a 10-point shortfall in the fourth inning to claim a spot in the Super Bowl. LVI.

This gives the Rams a chance to play at home during the game, which takes place Sunday, February 13, at Stan Kroenke’s multibillion-dollar SoFi Stadium, which officially opens in September.

This marks the fifth time the Rams have appeared in the Super Bowl. The first time was in 1980, when they lost to Pittsburgh. Their most recent appearance was in 2019, when they lost to New England. However, as the St. Louis from 1995-2015, they made it to the big game twice: winning Tennessee in 2000 and losing to New England in 2002.

After 54 consecutive Super Bowls without an NFL team playing at home, the Rams are the second team to do so in two seasons after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers broke the record last year.

Meanwhile, the Bengal team beat the Kansas City captain in a nasty match in the AFC Championship, which aired on CBS earlier in the day.

The Bengals’ Evan McPherson kicked in for 31 yards with 9:22 left in extra time after defender Jo Burrow kept his composure while leading an angry comeback in the second half. They sent the Bengals into the NFL’s big game for the first time in 33 years with a 27-24 win over the Chiefs.

The Bengals cleared an 18-point shortfall in the game, set an AFC title-game record for biggest comeback and eliminated the Captain for the third time in a row in the Super Bowl. They won in 202, beating San Francisco 31-20, but lost last year to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a losing game that ended 31-9.

This will mark the third Super Bowl appearance ever for the Bengals, which have lost to San Francisco on both previous big-game visits. They last played in the Super Bowl in 1989, losing to San Francisco 20-16. They also lost in their first appearance in 1982, by a score of 26-21.

Super Bowl LVI will air on NBC. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar are expected to be the halftime performers.
