Ireland’s Leona Maguire played a nine under 63, allowing her to catch up with Lydia Ko to share the lead after three rounds of the CME Group Tournament Championships in Florida and set up a tight tie on the final day. together to win the richest prize in women’s golf.

Maguire and Ko have a five-stroke advantage over former US Women’s Open champions, South Korea’s Jeon-Geun Lee and Scotland’s Gemma Dryburgh.
Elsewhere, Brooke Henderson still has slim hopes for the player of the year award. The Canadian, who had to withdraw last week due to a back injury, had two eagle shots in her 65th round and was in the bottom nine, six behind the lead.
Henderson will have to win the CME Group Tour Championship and let Ko finish third or worse to win player of the year.
