The Lucid Air electric luxury sedan darkens under a new Stealth Look trim option, the EV startup announced on Monday.
Available on Air Grand Touring Performance, Grand Touring and Touring models, the Stealth Look treatment includes 35 different exterior changes, Lucid said in a press release. Most of those changes involved swapping out the Platinum Look’s bright trim with darker versions in different finishes.
The Air’s exterior mirror caps and glass roof frame have what Lucid calls a Stealth finish. The trim around the headlights and taillights gets a satin version of this finish, while the nose, roof rails, lower doors and side skirts get a dark finish.

There are also new 20-inch and 21-inch wheel designs (depending on model), with satin black spacers. Lucid says the new look can be combined with its full exterior color palette, which includes: Stellar White, Infinite Black, Cosmos Silver, Quantum Gray and Zenith Red.
This isn’t the only change Lucid has recently made to the Air lineup. 1,050 horsepower Air Grand Touring Performance taken over from the sold-out Dream Edition Performance as the most powerful Air model, while the Grand Touring is the de facto replacement for the Dream Edition Range. With a range of 516 miles, it’s close to that model 520 miles range.

Lucid Air Stealth Look
While customers will be able to configure the Air Stealth Look online starting August 10, production is expected to begin until the first quarter of 2023.
The Stealth Look will be a $6,000 option on top of a base price of $179,000 for the Air Grand Touring Performance, a base price of $154,000 for the Air Grand Touring and $107,400 for the Air Touring. Lucid also plans to offer an $87,400 Air Pure model, but it cannot be configured with the Stealth Look. Most recent Air variants have price increasewhich Lucid also attributed to supply chain issues.
