AMRAVATI: A court here on Sunday renovated Irfan Khanthe alleged mastermind of the chemist Umesh KolheA senior official said the murder is in police custody until July 7.

Police earlier said in the newspaper that the killing of Kolhe, 54, was related to a number of posts he had shared in WhatsApp groups, advocating Nupur Sharma who was suspended by BJP for making controversial comments about the Prophet Mohammad.
A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) questioned Khan on Sunday morning at the Kotwali city police station, before he was taken to the police station. Amravati district and court hearings amid tight security.
A spokesman for the Union Interior Ministry earlier tweeted that the investigation had been handed over to the central investigative agency.
