Man dies after falling while subway surfing on top of J train on Williamsburg Bridge
The 32-year-old man misplaced his footing, fell from the practice onto the tracks, and was struck by an incoming practice, the New York Police Division (NYPD) confirmed to CNN.
Officers discovered him “unconscious and unresponsive” round 4:35 a.m. and emergency medical companies pronounced him lifeless on the scene.
Authorities haven’t but recognized the person.
The J-train was suspended between Broad Avenue and Marcy Avenue and was delayed because of the incident, in response to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). Regular service has since resumed.
“Driving on prime of trains isn’t sensible,” MTA Spokesperson Tim Minton instructed CNN.
