Man laying on roadway near London, Ont. confronts police, faces charges: OPP – London
A London, Ont., man is facing multiple charges after the Elgin County OPP found him lying on the street at the Lake Line address, Southwold Township on Saturday.
At 12:25 a.m., an officer stopped to assist who was soon engaged in a physical confrontation with police, OPP said.
This person tried to flee the area on a motorbike and was later arrested.
According to police, Colin James Gibbons, 23 and living in London, has been charged with driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and drugs, operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level (BAC) of 80 or more. up, against a peace officer as well as Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Auto Insurance Act violations.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in St. Thomas at a later date.
