Manchester City striker Erling Haaland will miss his team’s UEFA Champions League match against Sevilla on Wednesday, November 2.
Cityzens will host Spain’s outfit at the Etihad in their final European group stage encounter of the season. According to BBC journalist Simon Stone, Man City coach Pep Guardiola provided the update on Tuesday (November 1). Stone tweeted:

Official Manchester City Twitter page added more quotes from Guardiola in one parcel which reads:
“He (Haaland) feels better than on Saturday and Sunday. But it’s not 100%, we don’t want to risk it, it’s pointless. Hopefully he’ll be back for Fulham.”

It is worth noting that Man City’s match against Sevilla was a deadly one. The home team took the top spot of Group G with 11 points after five matches. Meanwhile, the Andalusian team will finish in third place and enter the UEFA Europa League.
Haaland was substituted at half-time in City’s final Champions League game, a 0-0 draw against Borussia Dortmund. The Norwegian did not even come off the bench in the 1-0 win over Leicester City in the Premier League over the weekend.
Since arriving in the summer, the striker has been in incredible form. In 15 matches in all competitions, Haaland has scored 22 goals and provided three assists. He scored a brace in the reverse fixture between Manchester City and Sevilla in September as Guardiola’s men won 4-0.

After the match against Sevilla, Manchester City will take on Fulham at the Etihad in the Premier League on Saturday, November 5. The Cottagers are currently seventh in the league standings with 19 points from seven games and are just behind. Newcastle United five points in fourth place.
