If you’re wondering what happens next, it looks like the American developer is working on tracking Mario Kart Live: Track at home with a new “mixed reality racing experience” called Hot Wheels: The Rally Cracked. Like Mario Kart Live, this will combine the real world environment with the digital world.
This new racer puts players behind the wheel of over 140 Hot Wheels cars using a Chameleon RC, digitally convertible. It will come with a campaign mode (including “Rift Gates” as a checkpoint) and a stunt mode in which players make all sorts of crazy moves to earn high scores.
The catch at the moment is that Hot Wheels: Rift Rally has just been announced for iOS, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It’s launching next month on March 14, 2023, and will priced at $129.99 USD for the standard version and $149.99 USD for the collector’s edition. Again, though, you’ll need to own one of these platforms to be able to play it. You can learn more on our sister site square push.
