Mary Cosby will not participate in filming on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City as the Bravo series continues with season three, The Hollywood Reporter have learned.
The decision follows controversies surrounding Cosby, including one over racially insensitive remarks she made during the show’s second season, which is currently airing. This includes Cosby compares co-star Jen Shah in a December episode talked about “the Mexicans making all those drugs,” and a later part of the season referred to co-star Jennie Nguyen’s eyes as “slanted.” Cosby apologized for her comments about the Shah.
After Page six tweeted a headline on Thursday saying “Cosby quits” show after two seasons, TV personality reply on friday“THIS IS NOT TRUTH! This is a complete FABRIC!”
Her poster did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Cosby, who has been in the lead role since the series premiered in November 2020, has not participated in the reunion season two that is scheduled to begin airing later this month. In a Twitter Spaces recording that has been shared on social media, Cosby said she skipped the reunion because she believed it would be “one-way.”
Last month, Bravo announced that Nguyen had been removed from the series following racist posts from her Facebook account that surfaced recently.
The show’s cast also includes Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Meredith Marks and Whitney Rose.
