Maryland Funeral Home Director kills Pallbearer at girl’s burial

Arianna Davis was shot while sleeping in the family car on Mother’s Day (May 14) in Washington, DC, and later died, according to NBCWashington.

On Tuesday, gunfire broke out as Davis was being buried at Washington National Cemetery in Suitland.

“I am heartbroken that this happened at the place where my daughter is buried. I couldn’t even lay her down, even put her on the ground, and another incident occurred. This is so traumatic for me, my children, my whole family. It’s post-traumatic stress,” her mother, Antionette Belk Belk, told the outlet.

The owner of the Funeral Home of Pure Compassion, Wilson chavissupposedly killed 30 years old Ronald Bank. The banker served as an important person at Arianna’s funeral, the outlet reported.

Business Disputes Between Funeral Homes at the Shooting Center

Police said Chavis, 48, shot Banks because he interfered in a business dispute with the latter Freeman Funeral Service.

According to Belk, Arianna’s cousin was also shot in the leg amid gunfire. The preacher – Arianna’s uncle – was not injured.

PRODUCTS 5 DC reported that at the graveyard, Chavis was confronted by the funeral minister and another person associated with Freeman Funeral Services.

“I’m here for all of you b *** ha ** n **** s!” Chavis shouted at the pastor, according to court documents seen by USA 9.

“I own this body!”

He added, “This is not your damn funeral home,” before shoving and spitting at the pastor.

The gunman was charged with murder and attempted murder, the victim was a close friend of the girl’s family

According to police, a small number of people attending the funeral confronted Chavis, prompting him to pull out a gun and fire two times before driving away from the scene.

The police arrested him and put him in jail a few minutes later, according to NBCWashington. Chavis was charged with first and second degree murder. He was also charged with first- and second-degree murder, PRODUCTS 5 DC report.

In court, Wednesday, PRODUCTS 5 DC learned that the head of Freeman’s Funeral Service filed a temporary peace order against Chavis last month. The pastor, Arianna’s uncle, is said to be one of the employees listed as requiring a protective order against Chavis.

Chavis allegedly threatened and harassed the company by phone and text messages. He also threatened an employee there about an incident two years ago.

Chavis is scheduled for a bond hearing on Thursday afternoon, the outlet reported.

Meanwhile, no arrests have been made in the fatal shooting of Arianna Davis.
