‘Massive UM fan’ Lazaro Arribas faces murder charge for stabbing neighbor near Fort Myers – CBS Miami
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A man known to be a huge University of Miami Hurricanes football fan is behind bars accused of murdering his neighbor.
“My heart goes out to the family of the victim who are going through such a loss,” Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno said in a statement. Facebook page. “The fact that this act of violence ended in a death is a tragedy. This killer is now behind bars and will face justice.”

It happened in Lehigh Acres, near Fort Myers, on February 28, at about 4:30 p.m. when deputies answered a call regarding a stabbing.
When the delegates arrived at the site, they discovered a victim bleeding profusely from his neck.
They found Lazaro Arribas, 48, leaning towards the victim to give first aid.
Arribas told police that an argument over feeding stray animals had turned violent.

Arribas was arrested, charged with heavier charges.
Records show he was released from prison on March 1.
Arribas’ charges were elevated to 2nd degree murder after the victim died from his injuries.
He remains incarcerated at the Lee County Jail.
