Maxwell are giving Megan Thee Stallion’s knees a race for their talent! The The rapper’s name went viral along with Maxwell after a viral video showed him dropping it to a low.
While stopping in Night tour, Maxwell performed his leg motion in a butterfly motion while spinning in a semicircle for several seconds. Then he returned to deliver his voice to the crowd.
But while the artist may be showing a smile, not everyone feels his knees. And a tweet calling out the necessity of Maxwell’s movements is what made the video trend.
“Maxwell doesn’t have a single song asking for this,” Twitter user @artfulkash wrote on October 22.
By the next day, others online began sharing edited videos of the moment – even putting Maxwell’s knee next to Megan’s screen.

But by Monday morning, the singer had words for those who found the comedy in his knees.
“You all want to laugh but your knees aren’t built that way,” Maxwell tweeted. “This is the Maxwell Challenge.”
After Maxwell addressed the conversation, an industry colleague noticed the singer’s viral moment. Wiz Khalifa wrote, “You’d better leave Maxwell in hell alone.”

Before Maxwell spoke to the critics, he shared another clip of the performance in North Little Rock, Arkansas. And the vibe found in his viral knee video! The singer brought Michael Jackson-like energy to the stage in a glittery, black two-piece suit paired with feathers.

Jokes aside, this man is truly an industry legend with well-deserved accolades. He is a three-time Grammy Award winner who has received 13 nominations throughout his career. The singer has also won awards from Billboard, NAACP and even Soul Train Awards. Last year, the Soul Train Award named him Legend Reward receiver.
