India won 3-0 against Sri Lanka in T20Is
The first T20I in Lucknow saw the team take an all-out 62-match win over the away team thanks to Ishan Kishan’s 89th run and Shreyas Iyer’s 57-match unbeaten run.
The second game continued from where he left off, recording an unbeaten 74 in the second as the Men in Blue chased a tense 183 in their 20 passes. Ravindra Jadeja was the one remaining who made a comeback with an undefeated 45 in the second game.
The third game was another level for Shreyas Iyer with an unbeaten record of 73 as the hosts crossed the finish line with six backup players.
Mayank Agarwal appoints PBKS . captain
Mayank Agarwal brought in by India to replace Ishan Kishan at the last minute, who delivered a blow to the head in the second T20I. Although Sanju Samson started with Rohit Sharma and Agarwal did not play a single game, there was good news in the opening match for smasher Karnataka.
Confirming the appointment, PBKS took to their official Twitter page and wrote:
“Attention #SherSquad. © Our Mayank Agarwal. Submit your wishes for the new #CaptainPunjab. ”
Reacting to his appointment, the opening battler replied:
“I am honored and happy to lead the Punjab Kings in IPL 2022. Let’s do it this time. Buuraaaaah. ”

Agarwal has a steady 2021 IPL, hitting 441 runs in 12 games with an attack rate of 140.44 and an average of 40.09. He will now lead a rebuilt and competitive PBKS unit in the upcoming release.
