Meek Mill and Kevin Hart are students in the Philadelphia public school system. Now, they want to let parents choose which schools their children can attend.
That’s why Mill, Hart, and Michael Rubin Arianne Antonio, their spokeswoman, donated $7 million to private schools in Philly. Antonio said Philadelphia Questioner Contributions to private schools and tax credit programs help “support students who may not have had the opportunity.”
Most grants will reportedly cover low- to moderate-income students for the 2023-2024 academic year. These scholarships will cover at least 60 private and parish schools. In addition to tuition and classroom resources, the money goes for laptops, tablets, and WiFi connections.
The list of schools receiving funds remains confidential. However, Philadelphia Questioner reported that they were south and north of Philly, near Hart and Mill’s childhood stomping grounds.
The scholarship funding will be administered through Organized Business Leadership for Catholic Schools (BLOCS,) that questioner Said to be the state’s ‘largest scholarship organization’.

Meek’s charitable act has been a highlight in the past few days since his heated exchange with a boxer and his apology to the people of Ghana. Over the weekend, a video recorded a fiery exchange of artists at a boxing match between Gervonta Davis and Luis Garcia.
On Monday, he apologized after receiving criticism for filming a music video at Ghana’s flag house, called Jubilee House.
In addition to this week’s incidents, Meek has been steadily contributing to the growth of her community. For example, in December, Philadelphia Questioner said Mill and Rubin arranged a “day-long VIP experience” with the Eagles and Sixers. The event was organized for more than two dozen children “negatively affected by the criminal justice system and unjust probation.”
Also in December, the rapper bailed out 20 women from the Riverside Correctional Facility in Philly so they could go home for the holidays. The women reportedly received grocery or gift cards as part of their release.
Meeks and Rubin said they have together contributed more than $17 million to communities in the Philly area over the past few years.
