Mercedes-Benz EQV is treated with campers
With the introduction of an electric version of Mercedes-Benz V-Class /Metris, EQV, it’s only a matter of time before some companies turn it into a camper. The company in question is Sortimo Walter Rüegg PLC, and it has We wish the truck was available in the US.
The van is a pretty typical European camper conversion. Sortimo has added a pop-up roof for more space, as well as a rollaway bed over the passenger seat. At the back of the van is a kitchen area with a gas stove, small sink and mini fridge, plus drawers for utensils and more. Other features include swiveling front seats and additional interior lighting and USB sockets.
The company will also provide solar panels. They don’t charge for the drive the battery, but will power a 12-volt battery and an extra battery for accessories. The two panels on this concept produce 400 watts of power.
Conversion pricing isn’t available, but it doesn’t really matter to us, as we can’t even get the regular EQV in the US
