Celebrities at the Met Gala last night really have brought their class A game when it comes to watches. I will say it: this is the best Met Gala for watches in the history of the event. Nearly every corner of the industry is covered, from the brand New release on Roger Federer’s wrist and Pete Davidson, traditional Pierce Brosnan or Rami Malek wristwatches, to Jeremy Strong’s new age sportswear (and, oh, you know—we happen to have a gallery behind the scenes and get detailed shots from almost the entire crew there.). That’s not even talking about the serious performance of sports watches that made their way to the Met Gala courtesy of Pusha T, Jack Harlow, and Nick Jonas.
To put a better point on all this: My last year Met Gala watch compilation has 13 codes. Below, you’ll find a whopping 24 attendees who proudly showed off their watches on the red carpet (and that doesn’t include Pete Davidson, Ke Huy Quan, Idris Elba, or Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, who don’t. that we all know wear watches—cough, check out the aforementioned collection, cough—not visible on the red carpet).
Richard Mille RM07-04 by Jeremy Strong
Not surprised by this indicates that the method works strongly will wear the same watch brand as him heir Kendall character.
Roger Federer’s 1908 Rolex Perpetual Watch
Federer wears this brand new Rolex in public for the first time.
Blancpain Villeret by Pierce Brosnan
Brosnan told us that this watch was a gift from his wife, and that it has the words “Love flies on the wings of time” on the back.
Rami Malek’s Cartier Tank
Rami Malek and Cartier Tanks make peanut butter and jelly look like a flawed combination by comparison.
Pusha T’s Rolex Day-Date
This is the most important Pusha “Monday” Day-Day ever displayed.
Cartier Santos by Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes knows how to associate clocks with an event: a Enterprise-wide Rolex to the Super Bowl and a slick Santos for the Met.
Rolex “Pre-Daytona” by Kim Jones
It looks like Daytona, it smells like Daytona (probably), but if you look closely you won’t find the name anywhere on Jones’ classics. This is an example of a chronograph that Rolex produces outside of the Daytona line.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak by Nick Jonas
Jonas is proof that serious sports watches are right for the Met Gala red carpet.
Rolex GMT-Master II by Jack Harlow
A GMT-Master, a watch originally made for Pan-Am pilots, is a must-have for a guy who loves to fly first class. he wrote a song about it.
Bulgari Octo Roma Papillon Central Tourbillon by Barry Keoghan
The name of this watch represents its fairness. The beating heart of the tourbillon, right at its center, amplifies the theater.
Eddie Redmayne Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Watch
Omega has launched Aqua Terra in lovely, vibrant colors. Redmayne has a nice sand color.
Cartier Santos Dumont by Taika Waititi
In my humble opinion, a watch always looks cooler next to a tattoo on the arm — especially when that tattoo gives a bit of an edge to an otherwise elegant Santos.
