Meta Quest will hold a realistic gundam VR event in Tokyo
The Japanese Meta Quest has it announced that they will host a virtual VR exhibition featuring Gundam commercial franchise. The event titled “TheGundam Is Too Close” will be held in Tokyo throughout Winter 2024-2025.
This event will focus specifically on Mobile Suit Gunma: Silver Phantom. The VR movie has been available to purchase along with additional MR (mixed reality) mini-games since October 3, 2024.
The location will allow people to experience part of the game with Meta Quest 3S. Additionally, there will also be an MR Gallery mode where visitors can view virtual exhibits of characters and mobile suits that have appeared in Silver ghost. However, the organizers will only allow people 10 years of age and older to use headphones.
Meta previously launched another physical VR event that featured Gundam: Silver Phantom In Shibuya Tsutaya. While the event is expected to return on December 10-21, 2024, it also includes titles from other franchises such as Batman: Arkham Shadow and Square Enix Triangular strategy. The newly announced event will focus exclusively on Gundam: Silver Phantom.
Meta Quest’s “TheGundam Is Too Close” exhibition will take place at Tokyo Dome City on weekends and holidays from December 14, 2024 to February 24, 2025.
