Metroidvania Bullet Hell ‘The Knight Witch’ updated on Switch, here are the patch notes

Sorcerer Knight, the fun and frenetic combination of bullet hell action and Metroidvania exploration, just received a brand new update on Switch. Team17 publisher shared all the details for the patch on its blog.

Super Awesome’s fast-paced action game Hyper Dimensional Mega Team — in our words — “mixes things up a bit” and is a refreshing take on the Metroidvania genre. But we did note some technical issues, including the soft lock, in our review. With today’s update, however, it looks like a lot of those early problems can be eliminated.

Here are the full patch notes from today’s The Knight Witch update:

Version 1.0.5, February 23, 2023

FIXES
– Fixed crash when changing language.
– Fixed a crash when interacting with NPCs after changing the language.
– Fixed FPS drop when controller disconnected during loading screen.
– Fixed game hardening due to controller disconnection in Controls menu.
– Fixed an issue when binding spells or Action/Talk buttons to L3 and/or R3.
– Fixed an issue with missing controller remapping functionality.
– Fixed an issue where players could ignore collisions and get stuck to a wall in Giga Tree.
– Fixed a bug that allowed the player to leave the confines of the Hextinction battle.
– Fixed a bug where Rayne would appear after death with incomplete animation.
– Fixed black screen sometimes appearing in banners of ambushes.
– Fixed weapon durability counter freezing.
– Fixed the ‘Laser Gun’ spell not firing when pointing at an open door.
– Fixed spawn circle not focusing on spawn location.
– Fixed crashes when interacting with beacons after using a timer spell.
– Fixed forged popcorn not exploding when using the ‘Ray of Death’ spell.
– Fixed collision not being properly implemented for door contents in Giga Tree.
– Fixed turret not colliding with players in Giga Tree.
– Fixed a bug that prevented players from switching preferences while changing languages.
– Fixed an issue with warning text appearing overlapping when trying to purchase items in the store without the right amount of pieces.
– Fixed an issue where the character names and avatars didn’t match during dialogue.
– Fixed some localization typos and mistranslations.
