Miami Beach officer released from hospital after months of treatment for COVID – CBS Miami
MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – After being hospitalized in July with COVID-19, Miami Beach Police JC Sampedro has returned home.
Sampedro spent 11 weeks in the ICU, where he had to be intubated and put on a ventilator.

Thankfully, Sampedro is on his way to recovery.

He was surprised by family, friends and colleagues at the hospital when he was released over the weekend.
“I can’t thank you enough. Your prayers have been heard. Sure, there was a big man upstairs and he pulled over for me and my family,” the officer said. in a video shared by police.
Sampedro, also a US Marine, will continue his rehabilitation at home with his loving family by his side.
