Michael Jordan makes a statement about LeBron setting a scoring record
Many people congratulate LeBron James on Tuesday for breaking a career goalscoring record, though recognition from some stands out more than others. A statement from Michael Jordan could give more weight to LeBron.
Jordan praised James in a statement sent to TMZ Sports on Wednesday.
Jordan is fifth on the career points list with 32,292. MJ doesn’t have the longevity to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record, especially after a hiatus from baseball and retirement before playing against the Wizards. James doesn’t have a championship to match Jordan, but he does have the longevity Jordan cited in his statement.
Not only is it hard for anyone to get past James and Abdul-Jabbar, but Karl Malone’s 36,928 points in third place on the list will also be hard to beat.
