An LA Lakers trade appears to be in the works for more pieces after adding Rui Hachimura. Los Angeles made a smart deal, sending Kendrick Nunn and three second-round picks to the Washington Wizards on Monday. Los Angeles needed a wing and they had exactly that.
Now, the Lakers are expected to go after a veteran point guard. There are a few on the market and there will most likely be many more during the buyback market phase.
Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus reported that the Lakers were still able to search for small transactions after adding Hachimura:
“After acquiring Rui Hachimura from the Wizards on Monday, the Lakers can still look for small deals around defenders Lonnie Walker IV and Patrick Beverley.”
Then he added people the Lakers might be interested in, including Utah Jazz protect Mike Conley.
“Conley’s contract is very favorable, with $14.3 million out of $24.4 million guaranteed next season. The same candidates (really or like to be) are said to be there. excited, among others: the Lakers, the Clippers and the Timberwovles,” Pincus wrote.
Pincus reports that teams are interested in Houston rocket protect Eric Gordon to be phoenix sunLakers, and Milwaukee Bucks:
“A possible compromise would include an option swap, with Houston using the first Milwaukee Bucks’ (expected around 25th place) it got from the 2021 PJ Tucker trade. Rockets There’s a risk of a drop in profits, but Gordon looks likely to be dealt with ahead of time. Interested teams include the Suns, Lakers and Bucks.”
Will an LA Lakers trade bring them to the forefront? Maybe not yet. However, with the right health and supplementation, LeBron James and Anthony Davis can be scarier than any other duo in basketball. There’s a reason why the two of them won the NBA championship together and it’s not uncommon to see them do it again.
