“The owner said no Milwaukee teenagers were allowed to go with their parents,” Anderson said.

She posted about her daughter’s experience on social media.
“As a father, it’s hard to hear that and try to imagine yourself in that position,” said Milwaukee County Supervisor Ryan Clancy.
Clancy solves the problem on her own Sunday.
“It’s a test for this business to see if your Milwaukee teen can get in?” Mintz asked.
“Exactly,” Clancy said.

“So the only criterion that you have is residency, and you’re going to allow teenagers from here, just not from the city of Milwaukee?” Clancy asked.
“If they were Waukesha County residents here, we would never question it,” said the owner.
“It was (obviously) racist and (extremely) good luck (extremely) off,” Clancy said.
“This is a horrible racist policy. He can’t come out and say he doesn’t want Black and brown residents from Milwaukee into his business, and he thinks he can. says he can restrict people from a certain place,” Clancy said.

“His reasoning was like the Milwaukee teen was troublesome, but you don’t know every teenager in Milwaukee,” Anderson said.
“So what happens in Milwaukee? What’s the problem?” Clancy asked the owner of Skateland.
“Shooting and fighting,” said the owner.
Anderson said after the incident, she is considering suing Skateland and plans to hire an attorney.
Waukesha police told WISN 12 they were unaware of the Skateland residency policy and said they were rarely called to the business for juvenile criminal activity.
