‘Minecraft’, ‘Another Eden’, ‘Disney Heroes’, ‘Mini Metro’ and more – TouchArcade
Hello everyone, and welcome to the week! It’s time to take a look at the notable updates of the past seven days once again. There were a few major updates this time around, highlighting another list of the usual suspects. Whether you’re playing free games, Apple Arcade, or paid games, there’s something here for you to check out. Of course, you can keep an eye on updates yourself by participating in the TouchArcade forums. This weekly recap is just here to fill you in on the things you might have missed. Let’s go for it!
Caves & Cliffs: Part II has finally been tapped and it brings all sorts of great content to the game. There’s a new cave generation system for exploring your existing world, along with some new cave and mountain biomes to explore. In general, the system of creatures, caves and ore generation has been improved and updated significantly. So go to some caves and/or cliffs and see what you can find.
Zookeeper World there was another update last week and this is the biggest one yet. It adds another 25 levels to the mix, bringing the total to three hundred. Some new park items have been added, but no new animals. This update also brings a limited time Christmas event where you can get some cool holiday themed decorations by completing a certain number of puzzles. Yes, I have cleared all new levels. Are not, you are one who has a problem.
Mini subway, $3.99
This is both an update to the regular paid version of Mini subway and Apple Arcade Mini subway +. Hey, that’s great. Usually the + versions seem to run on their own. In this new version you get a brand new set of maps in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia. Along with it, you’ll get some new achievements and challenges, along with some bug fixes and UI tweaks. Every new map pulls me back to this for a week or so, and yes, it happened and happened again.
Fire icon hero, Free of charge
Fire icon hero there was a major during this time period. Volume VI of the main story starts tomorrow and you can get yourself a Mythic Hero Ash: Retainer to Askr to get you started in the right direction. What awaits Askr and Embla? You will have to play to find out. Also in this update is the new Summoner Duels feature that allows you to play synchronized player-versus-player battles. OH! That’s pretty cool. There’s some more information, but I’ll let you check all the intricate details for yourself.
Cave of Greed, $0.99
Somehow, this game is still evolving. In this version, there is a new race of Naga to find in taverns. You can find a new setting through the dock, with a new boss to fight named Gia Mime. Honestly, the update notes are a bit hard to parse. Is there something here about a new little angel function that you pass a twist? And apparently you can customize the equip skill through the book function? I’m not sure what all that means, but if you want to find out, you can fire up this old timer to go forward.
Popular Grindstone there is some good content in its latest version to help you sharpen those stones for a while longer. This holiday themed update includes a new Fir Shield, a new cave called Bezoar Bungalow, and a new Golden Bomb. You can drop by HjellHjole to pick up some seasonal decorations and score awesome new upgrades for your old loyal Pickaxe. Happy holidays!
OTHER EDEN, Free of charge
Okay, technically this update hasn’t arrived yet but it will be very soon. And I’m so excited I want to talk about it right now, so here we are. Another EdenThe latest collaboration by none other than Square Enix’s Chrono Cross, that’s pretty awesome. Another Eden share some key employees with Chrono Cross, and in many ways feels like a continuation of that game. God, I wonder why this game that hasn’t been re-released since 2011 is suddenly getting a special event? I suppose time will tell. For now, I will enjoy this event, which will start this Thursday.
Marvel Contest of Champions, Free of charge
Finally, Spider-Man is returning to the cinema! I’ve been waiting a long time for this, guys. The last movie I watched in the theater was Spider-Man: Far From Home, so I guess it all works out. Anyway, I expect every Marvel app to do something tied to the movie and Competition of champions seems to be the first. A new event called Sinister celebration launched with this update, without seeing anyone other than the nefarious Sinister Six come looking for Spidey. Among them is the deadliest hunter on Earth, the ferocious Kraven. He’s the type that likes to do his own dirty work, so don’t be surprised to see him get his hands on it. I think I’ll play it right away and for this it’s coveted UMMSotW Prizes for his week.
Disney Heroes: Battle Mode, Free of charge
Disney Hero There’s a new update, and as always, that means some new characters will be joining the fray. This time, we have a bit of a new Raya form from Raya and the last dragonand a bit old in Chip & Dale form from Rescuers. Hey, those aren’t bad pulls at all. There is also a stat refresh for Elsa from Frozen 2and a December Hero Login and Store Refresh. Is it okay if I confess here that I was never really interested in Chip & Dale? Little thugs, that’s it. Dale seems a little prettier than Chip but really, there’s no need to do well for their couple. Even though I see them Rescuers slightly more pleasant version. Well, that’s my peace. Good thing no one reads this, huh?
Houses, Free of charge
We’re wrapping up with the week’s mandatory free-to-play matching puzzle update, this time sign up for Austinverse again with this new holiday-themed edition of Houses. You’ve got the usual Christmas update with some new decorations to collect and a special holiday story, some new story content related to a college student’s party, party royal tea party with a talking cat etc Wow, that sounds pretty crazy! All of that just to provide a context for the transfer of some colorful objects. It’s like that these days.
That ends for last week’s important updates. However, I’m sure I’ve left out a few, so feel free to comment below and let everyone know if you think something should be mentioned. As usual, major updates will likely receive their own stories throughout this week, and I’ll be back next Monday to summarize and fill in the blanks. Have a great week!
