‘Miserable’ Marjorie Taylor Greene Whines That Her Congressional Salary Is Too Low

“Becoming a member of Congress has made my life miserable. I made more money before coming here. I’ve lost money since I got here,” she grumbled, adding, “It’s not a life that I think of as something I like because I don’t like it.”

Greene’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Members of the House of Representatives earn a salary of $174,000 a year. In addition, the House in session for 164 days last year, meaning that Representative Greene was required to work less than half of the calendar year.
