Missouri couple swinging guns at protesters seen at Kenosha . courthouse
Mark and Patricia McCloskey, who caused a stir last summer by brandishing their weapons at protesters, were among those protesting outside the courthouse on Monday.
As the attorneys in Kyle Rittenhouse’s trial delivered their final arguments inside the courtroom, outside, opponents argued for their own side. “Do you think you and your wife being here could increase tension between you and the other party,” asked WISN 12’s Caroline Reinwald. “I hope not. I think we’re here as ordinary citizens to support our fellow citizens. We don’t carry signs, we don’t scream at all,” said Mark McCloskey. “We’re just standing apart and right now talking to reporters. We just wanted to be here to show support and we don’t plan to hype anything up. I don’t dress up. like a gangster.” Justin Blake, Jacob Blake’s uncle, was outside with supporters every day of the trial. “Nobody pulled out their weapons. Nobody pulled out their weapons. No physical violence. The point is, there’s more time to be civil and do what you do in a democracy,” said Bishop Travis Grant. of the Rainbow Push Coalition said. “We may not agree, we may have positions close together, but we don’t resort to violence.” Each of the protesters said they would stay outside the courthouse every day until a verdict was reached. Mark McCloskey is running for the United States Senate in Missouri as a Republican.

Dozens of people gathered on the steps of the courthouse on Monday to express their grievances.
Among Rittenhouse’s supporters were Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the Missouri couple who made headlines in the summer of 2020 when they swung their guns at protesters outside their home.

We don’t carry signs, we don’t shout anything,” said Mark McCloskey. “We’re just standing apart and right now talking to reporters. We just wanted to be here to show our support and we don’t plan on hyping anything up. I don’t think so. dress like a gangster.”
On the other side, Justin Blake, Jacob Blake’s uncle, was outside with supporters every day of the trial.
