The Moline Fire Department responded to 7,800 requests for assistance in 2021 ranging from building fires to vehicle accidents, emergency medical calls and river rescues.
The department is now recognized for professional training by Lexipol Connect for achieving a gold level in disseminating consistent and effective policies to the fire force, delivering timely policy updates. as laws change and make sure firefighters are properly trained in policies.

“Policy, and regular policy training, are critical to the success of the department,” said Deputy Chief Executive Steve Regenwether in a press release. “We are proud to be recognized by Lexipol Connect for continuously advancing professionalism and enhancing safety for firefighters and citizens in our community.”
Fire Chief Jeff Snyder said the department now has 65 sworn employees and one civilian in its ranks.
