As 2022 comes to an end, it’s time to look forward to what lies ahead. If Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One is your console of choice, there’s a lot to be excited about, with some console exclusives and plenty of third-party titles coming to your platform. To keep this list manageable, I follow the rule that for a game to be included in this list, we must have seen how it was played at some point. I’m sure future Xbox first-party titles like Avowed and Fable will impress, and there are some great-sounding third-party games coming soon like Dragon Age: Dreadwolf and Assassin’s Creed Mirage. But for now, let’s try to control the hype and save the excitement for games where we really know how to play.
