Keegan Fugate dislocated his neck; bruises in various stages of healing on his abdomen, face and head; bruising to his brain; a torn liver; and bruised his internal organs, including his pancreas, Ho Criminal Court records show.
Keegan died October 12 at Methodist Hospital’s Northlake Facility in Gary, after his mother called 911 because he had stopped breathing and had vomited repeatedly since the night before.
The boy’s mother, Kylie E. Fugate, 23, and her boyfriend, Joseph R. Pridemore Sr., 32, both Gary, were charged November 24 with the boy’s murder, Newly sealed court records show.
Pridemore was arrested Monday on one count of murder. Kylie Fugate was taken into custody on charges of neglecting a dependent, a first degree felony.
According to online court records, neither has made a plea.
