Motlow State students donate 1,200 lbs. student food pantry | News
LYNCHBURG, TN (WSMV) – Motlow State Community College student Eli Definitely donated more than 1,200 lbs. Food for students of the university pantry on Wednesday.
“Every day I’m on campus, I walk past the student pantry shelves and see that they’re low or have little of the same stuff on them,” certainly said. “I knew I had the ability to make a difference, so I did.”
Some have reached out to Feed America First, an organization that takes grants from large corporations and splits them among smaller organisations.
Usually, Feed America First often requires a fee for donors. In exchange for helping the nonprofit deliver, the fee was waived.
Several people rented a moving tent and arrived at 6 a.m. to pick up their items to deliver to Smyrna. Donations are available at Motlow before 11am
Certain items to donate include fish, vegetables, milk, and personal hygiene products.
Some’s passion for social service really motivated her.
“I have a passion for serving society and I can’t imagine what else I would do with my life,” she said.
If you are interested in donating items to the State of Motlow, here are drop-off locations at each school site.

- Moore County: Student Activity and Resource Center, Forrester Building
- McMinnville: Before One-Stop
- Fayetteville: Ahead One-Stop
