My Travel Guide: Colombian Edition
Hello friends
I had so much fun in Colombia! It’s been exciting to experience Colombian culture and I feel incredibly grateful to have this opportunity to tick an extra box on my bucket list.
Traveling can be stressful, but don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! Check out my travel guide below to see my packing tips to help you have the best trip ever.
Light pack: I’ve always been an overpacker, but this is what I’m really trying to do. Yes, of course you want to be prepared for anything, but try to pack outfits with different emotions so you have a little bit of matching everything with you! Pack only the essentials that you need during your trip. This way, you have plenty of room in your luggage to shop when you arrive!
Packing clothes: When traveling to somewhere warm, loose dresses are the best way to minimize the bulk in your luggage as one dress is interchangeable both top and bottom! Oh and the obvious – they are so classy! Highlight your outfit by pairing it with white sneakers or pretty sandals. Here are some of my favorite well-dressed girls that I’m going to rock this holiday with.
Eat like the locals: Not only is this a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the country’s culture, but it’s also an easier way to stay on budget for your trip if you try some of the delicious local food around your hotel or Airbnb.
Bring a portable charger: I can’t tell you how much this saved my life! Portable chargers are often neglected but such a mistake! They are important and lifesavers! The worst part is being in foreign territory without a phone battery.
Join a fanny pack: This is literally one of the hacks of my life! You have all the essentials with you, but you still have hands and feet free! It’s really stylish too! My go-to fanny pack right now is from Hammit!
Take as many photos as you can: I love living in the moment, I also love being able to take pictures in all my adventures. It’s been a pleasure sharing all my travels with you and I love having photos to look back on and reminisce on. I like to carry a polaroid camera to capture memories.
Tell me some of your favorite travel tips and let me know if you’ve traveled to Colombia before!
XO,
Becca
