After more than two decades at NBC, Today West Coast Reporter marked her last day at the network on Friday, November 19. Before signing the contract, Morales looked back on her time with the new organization in a letter read to Today viewers.
Morales said: “From the moment I stepped in front of the cameras and into your living room, I knew it was an honor to be part of your morning tradition, your most sacred time.. “Together with you, I sat in the front row for the moments that left a mark in our hearts, moments that I will forever cherish as I witnessed history.”
Morales previously announced on October 15 that she would be leaving the network after 22 years for a “new adventure”. She is a Today reporter for 15 years.
Morales recalls traveling the country with some of America’s leaders and telling “the most incredible stories,” including rescuing 33 Chilean miners trapped underground for 69 days in 2010 She also remembers reporting on both. Prince William and Kate Middleton‘sand Prince Harry and Meghan Markleroyal weddings in 2011 and 2018 respectively and the “first royal birth in decades” with the arrival of Prince George in 2013.
