Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Nathan Eovaldi is said to have agreed to the terms of his contract with the Texas Rangers. Eovaldi is an All-Star in 2021 and is still likely to dominate when healthy. He is injured during the 2022 season, but will be available for the 2023 season.
The Rangers have been surprisingly aggressive this season as they look to secure a spot in the American League East. This is no easy task considering the strong teams that share their divisions in the Houston Astros and Seattle Mariners.
News of this reported contract deal was posted to Twitter by MLB insider Robert Murray.

This could be a great signing for the Texas Rangers, who are looking to improve their roster on a large scale.
More Nathan Eovaldi proves the Texas Rangers are committed to building a strong rotation
Earlier this season, Rangers made headlines by signing the former New York Mets average star Jacob deGrom. They have now added one of the best pitchers left to join deGrom. It’s a strong pairing that could prove capable of stopping some of the league’s best offense.
Jared Carrabis, an MLB analyst and popular Boston Red Sox fan, said goodbye to the fan-favorite pitcher on Twitter.
“Thanks for ’18, Nate. Forever an absolute legend of Boston” – Jared Carrabis
The addition of Nathan Eovaldi gives Rangers a great starting rotation and they should see a huge improvement in 2023.
