WHITE HOUSE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A huge party at an Airbnb has shaken people in a Robertson County residential area after they said it was getting out of hand.
Neighbors saw hundreds of people at a pool partying at an Airbnb in the White House until a scuffle broke out and someone opened fire.
on Sunday afternoon, Nicole Taylor said she saw about 100 people hanging out near the next-door neighbor’s pool.
“My husband and kids have described it as a music video. The drone footage we shot looks like a music video of people around the pool and swimming and large amounts of alcohol,” Taylor said. “It really looks like that.”
Taylor called the host, Hannah Case, to see why her Airbnb was full. She said there was even a security guard walking in the driveway, directing cars.
Case said she was shocked when Taylor sent her videos of what was happening. Airbnb guests are only allowed nine people in a house at a time.
“I called Airbnb and that’s where I got very frustrated because it was an emergency. They just didn’t do anything,” Case said.
Case said she then went to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office to ask their deputy to stop the party. The sheriff’s office told News4 it couldn’t break it because the rental agreement was between Airbnb and Case, the landlord.
“Something needs to change with Airbnb or county law,” Taylor said.
Taylor said the sheriff’s deputies showed up later that night as the crowd grew larger and more rowdy.
“And the cars were coming out of the driveway, and at that moment there was a gunshot. Then I found out that my neighbor called the sheriff at the time,” Taylor said. “There was a car accident in the driveway at the time. A bumper has been left in the yard. ”
By 10 p.m., the party is over.
“This place is disgusting,” Taylor said.
Case said the party caused thousands of dollars in damage. Airbnb sent News4 this statement:
